Personal commitment in the face of crisis

It is our mission to save lives and make lives better. We are more committed to this than ever, in light of the current situation in Ukraine. We only have one world, and we should treat it with care and, above all, help where there is the greatest need. This idea has guided our actions ever since GOJO was established, and is our central tenet.

We are saddened by the developing situation in Ukraine, and the awful impact it is having on thousands of lives. Our thoughts are with the countless people who have to endure this terrible situation day after day. Many members of GOJO Europe live in countries bordering Ukraine and are seeing the impact of the crisis firsthand.

They, and many other people, are showing an impressive personal commitment to supporting refugees. Our special thanks and respect go to our Polish and Romanian colleagues who are personally and intensively involved, along with their families, in helping the refugees on the ground, be it through transport, food or accommodation.

Together with our Polish and Romanian trade partners, we also have made significant donations of sanitising wipes and hand sanitiser to the Red Cross and other aid organisations in recent weeks. Food, water, clothing and hygiene articles are urgently needed in emergency shelters. Where many people come together under hygienically precarious conditions, the risk of disease outbreaks is immensely high. We are committed to playing our part to help improve conditions and support some of the people affected by this situation.
