PURELL® inclusive - we celebrate the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities"

People have always been at the heart of the PURELL® brand. As a multinational company, we actively stand up for our values, our community and a sustainable way of working. For us, sustainability also means acting inclusively. The "International Day of Persons with Disabilities", which is celebrated every year on 3 December, provides an important opportunity to reflect on the challenges that people with disabilities face every day. At the same time, it can provide an opportunity to question and recognise the progress made towards a more inclusive society.

Promoting inclusive working environments

People with disabilities often encounter physical, communicative or social barriers that make it difficult for them to participate in everyday activities, including the world of work. The "International Day of Persons with Disabilities" is a good time to reflect on the need for inclusive working environments. At PURELL, we are committed to creating workplaces that value and promote the skills and talents of people with disabilities by working with local organisations that are specialists in this field. This includes the “Werkstätten Hainbachtal”, which sees itself as a service provider for people with intellectual disabilities or mental illness. Here, the focus is on vocational training, individual support and the greatest possible participation in society. Employees are also given the real opportunity to pursue meaningful employment. For this reason, the jobs offered in the workshops are tailored to the skills and interests of the employees.

A special cooperation

We are proud to cooperate with the Werkstätten Hainbachtal, who do such great work promoting the social responsibility towards each individual person and society. The shared view of humanity is characterised by respect, tolerance, consideration and appreciation. The work area of the Werkstätten Hainbachtal covers a broad spectrum of production and services for industry, trade and end customers. The services offered are geared towards the market, as they must secure the jobs of the employees.

As part of Werkstätten Hainbachtal workshops, people with disabilities support the PURELL® team with light packaging work, such as packing samples or starter kits for trade fairs and marketplaces, gaining valuable work experience – and self-confidence!

Together, PURELL® and the Werkstätten Hainbachtal are shaping the future into a more diverse and inclusive place.
